These educators chose to show up powerfully and breathe together. Self-awareness increased as they noticed aches or strains before stretching. Rib cages expanded, spines lengthened, and hearts opened when they inhaled fresh oxygen through their nose and exhaled slowly. With many deep, slow breaths they were able to balance their nervous system. Where was stress hiding? Was it in their hips, upper back, shoulders, neck, or face? They took a risk and balanced on one foot, twisted their bodies in different shapes, and extended their spines. Many opened to newness and let go of control, automatic negative thoughts (ANTS), clutter, catastrophising, and judging. What is possible when each of these educator teach the magical calming tool, BREATH, to children? You, Indiana educators, are more powerful and capable than you will ever know!!
