Lesson Q: Meet Quieting Quin 💛 Breathe, Stretch, Feel Better

Hello Powerful You Community,

I reluctantly took my first yoga class over 16 years ago.

Honestly… I didn’t want to go.
But I felt called to support a volunteer who came to my school to offer yoga as a gift to our staff.

And then something unexpected happened.

After that very first class, I felt a shift inside of me.
I couldn’t quite explain it—but I knew it was something powerful. A calm. A clarity. A sense of peace I hadn’t felt in a long time.

I was hooked.

And I remember thinking:
If this helped me… imagine what it could do for my students.

That moment changed everything.

I went on to become a yoga teacher and began weaving breathing and stretching into all of my life skills lessons. During some of my most impactful years as a school counselor, I was even given a classroom where I removed the desks and replaced them with yoga mats.

Yes—an entire classroom and school built on calm, movement, and connection. 💛
