Strong Body - Confident Mind

When the Body Feels Strong, the Mind Follows

Dear Educators & Families,

One thing I’ve noticed over and over while teaching children is this:
when their bodies feel strong, their minds begin to feel strong too.

Movement builds more than muscles — it builds confidence, focus, resilience, and joy. Adults are the same — when the body feels strong, the mind often follows. That’s why I created a free 15-minute video that you can use anytime. These simple exercises help develop core and shoulder strength while also supporting emotional regulation, confidence, and overall well-being.

Featured Poses from Breathe and Stretch on the Beach

Kids love to practice these two poses. It is a fun way to bring breath and movement into the classroom.

Sports Boat
Children hold a strong push-up position while focusing on their breath. This pose encourages stability, concentration, and perseverance.

Charge Your Battery
A fun mountain climber movement that gets energy flowing and helps children feel awake, strong, and empowered.

When I teach these movements, I often see children stand taller afterward. They smile more. They believe in themselves. That confidence carries into the classroom, friendships, and learning.

As one saying goes:

“Movement changes not only the body, but also the mind, attitude, and mood.”

🌈 BREATHE • STRETCH • SEL

This simple rhythm is a powerful way to structure your day and your lessons:

1. Breathe – Use breathwork to regulate and ground
2. Stretch – Bring awareness into the body
3. SEL – Teach the life skill through story and connection

You can pair this breathwork with:

Why Movement Matters for Kids

  • Builds confidence and self-esteem

  • Supports focus and emotional regulation

  • Strengthens coordination and body awareness

  • Encourages healthy energy release

  • Helps children feel calm, capable, and connected

I would love for you to join me and share these practices with your students or children.
